MEET YOUR FLC COUNCIL MEMBERS!
Matt Dimich

What are your favorite things about Farmington Lutheran?
I love the sense of community here at FLC. For youth you can feel it on Wednesday nights for confirmation and pre-con. For adults I see it in the large variety of opportunities to engage. Finally the music! I'm partial as I participate in music ensembles, but I love it!

Tell us about your family/your dear ones.

I've been married to my wife Megan for 19 years. She's a choir director at Farmington high school. Together we have two girls Emma and Harper in 8th and 6th grade at Boeckman Middle School.

What is your dream vacation?
My dream vacation would be spending a significant amount of time somewhere so I could completely disconnect and relax. I think spending a whole month in Italy exploring and eating amazing food would be a dream. It would have to be a combination of lazy and active though, I wouldn't make it just laying on a beach for a month.

Describe your hobbies or how you like to spend free time.
I love to be on the water in the summer boating or pulling my family in any number of water sports. I like to hunt ducks, geese, grouse and deer (bow), snowmobile and ski in the winter. Around the house I like wood working and landscaping projects the best.

What is/was your profession?
I'm in technology at Thomson Reuters, formerly Thomson West and have been there for 19 years. I started my career as a software engineer, have been in a number of different roles, and now I lead a technology group that helps run our data centers, networks and cloud hosting globally.

What is your favorite holiday? Why?
One of things I enjoy most about holidays is gathering with family over a meal, so that could mean a number of holidays, but I think Christmas is my favorite. I love all the extra traditions that you can see all around town like Christmas lights, the music and Christmas story we hear in church, and right now this comes with a break from school and work to reflect on the year, be with family and get refreshed for the year to come.
