MEET YOUR FLC COUNCIL MEMBERS!
Julie Amdahl

What are your favorite things about Farmington Lutheran?
We were looking for a church closer to home in 2017 and my neighbor (a member) suggested we check out FLC. After two visits, we knew this was the place to be and it was the welcoming atmosphere, the friendly members and scripture based sermons that confirmed it. Those factors continue to this day with the leadership of Pastors Ben & Kristen; the caring and competent office staff; and the marvelous music program that Karissa provides every week.

Tell us about your family/your dear ones.

Duane and I will celebrate our 64th wedding anniversary in June. We have two married sons, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

What is your dream vacation?
My dream vacation, when I was younger, was hiking the trail in Glacier National Park. Now, I enjoy a week at Disneyworld Resort, such as the Grand Floridian.

Describe your hobbies or how you like to spend free time.
In my spare time, I enjoy quilting, needlework and reading a mystery or historical fiction novel.

What is/was your profession?
Before retiring, I was a secretary/administrative assistant to a group of “The Big Bang Theory” scientists in the computer industry. I retired to become ‘grandma daycare’ for our son’s twins.

What is your favorite holiday? Why?
Easter is my favorite holiday as it celebrates Christ’s resurrection and gives us the promise of life everlasting. Christmas is a close second when we celebrate the birth of Christ and all the blessings that brings to our lives.
