BREWED THEOLOGY TONIGHT!
Tuesday, February 25 "NONES & DONES: LOSING OUR RELIGION?"
It's no secret that many trends for church participation are headed downwards. The number of Americans who indicate "None" for religious preference, or are just "done" with church, is growing. But why? And what can we do to share the Gospel - the "good news" - in a way that invites? Come and talk about it at the Long Branch, at 7pm, on Tuesday Feb 25th.

CONFIRMATION SNACK CART
New, starting tomorrow night! Chips, granola bars, popcorn, beef sticks and a variety of candy will be available for purchase (all items are $1 or $2) from 6:00 - 6:30pm. All proceeds go towards offsetting the cost of the 2025 youth trip to Colorado. Cash or Venmo accepted.

MEET YOUR FLC COUNCIL MEMBERS!

What are your favorite things about Farmington Lutheran?
The People!  The Pastors, Staff, Volunteers and Congregation Members all help make FLC a welcoming place where we can all be ourselves.  There are so many opportunities to be involved and engage with fellow church members, whether it's volunteering in one of the programming areas or joining one of the many groups FLC offers.

Tell us about your family/your dear ones.

I have been married to my wonderful wife, Kristen, since 2007. We have two amazing daughters, Madison and Ava, who are 15 and 11 years old.

What is your dream vacation?
I have two dream vacations. The first one is a trip through Ireland to see where my ancestors are from. The second would be staying in an overwater bungalow somewhere in the middle of the ocean!

Describe your hobbies or how you like to spend free time.
I enjoy playing golf with my wife when our schedule allows, watching our two daughters perform in swimming competitions and exploring all things technology!

What is/was your profession?
I have been an airline pilot for 19 years and am currently flying the 737 for Sun Country Airlines.

What is your favorite holiday? Why?
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving! I love a great meal and the opportunity to visit with family that I don't get to see very often.

MN FOODSHARE MARCH CAMPAIGN (Farmington Food Shelf)
March 1 through April 3
Farmington Food shelf is once again participating in the MN Foodshare Campaign. The more dollars and pounds of food we collect during the campaign, the more grant funds we will receive from MN FoodShare, increasing the power of your donation!
Donations may be dropped off on Mondays and Thursdays from 11:00am-5:30pm. The address is 510 Walnut St., south side of the building, door #9.  Monetary gifts are always welcome too and used to purchase food from Second Harvest at a very reduced cost. Checks should be made out to the Farmington Food Shelf if the donor wants the money to go directly to our local Farmington Food Shelf.
This is an important campaign, as the more dollars and pounds of food we collect at our site, the more grant money we will receive from MN-FoodShare, which is sponsored by GMCC (Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches). We saw a 35% increase in visits in 2004 compared to 2023 (and 2023 had a 50% from the previous year!). Thanks for your continued support.
