CANDY AND DONATIONS NEEDED!
FLC is collecting candy donations for this year’s Trunk or Treat event. Donations can be left in the office anytime or brought to worship. Last year over 600 trunk or treaters visited FLC (that’s A LOT of candy!).

CHURCH OFFICE CLOSED
Thursday, October 17

FLC’s church office will be closed this Thursday as staff takes vacation days to spend some quality time with their friends and families.

CONCESSIONS AT TRUNK OR TREAT
Friday, October 25

Stop by the concessions table at next week’s Trunk or Treat event and support Farmington Lutheran Youth. FLC youth could also use help from the congregation to donate items for concession sales at this year’s Trunk or Treat event. SIGN UP HERE TO DONATE.

YARD CLEAN UP: RAKING LEAVES
Sunday, October 27

Farmington Lutheran Youth will be out raking leaves on Sunday, October 27 from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. Suggested minimum donation of $20 yard.

LISTENING SESSION
Sunday, October 20, between worship services

Pastor Dana will host initial conversations about our transition process on October 20 between services [in the library]. We'll get the conversation started about what ‘s working at FLC, what we can do better, what our staff should look like when the transition is over, and the steps it will take to get there. PD will talk a bit about the interim process, but mostly he wants to hear what the congregation is saying and what everyone wants to know.

BREWED THEOLOGY
Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00pm
This month we’re talking Church & State” (about how to be faithfully Christian while church & state are separate-ish?). Conversation starts at 7:00pm, but come early for dinner and drinks.

TRUNK OR TREAT

All are invited to Trunk or Treat at Farmington Lutheran! Concession fundraiser snacks and drinks will be available to purchase in support of the 2025 youth summer trip.

KIC LOCK-IN
Friday, October 25 at 7:00PM
The KiC lock-in is designed to give our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders time together to play games, EAT, have devotional time, watch a movie, and SLEEP at FLC. We hope to have a campfire (it might be cold, so bundle up). Wear shoes and clothing appropriate for running around and playing games. Bring a sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, and a Bible. This month the food shelf has requested the following items: Cake mixes, Muffin mixes, Jello/Pudding, Pasta sauce, Tomato paste, Soups, Ramen, Pasta sides, Rice sides, Kleenex, Baby wipes, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste

HEAD START’S NEW GRAND FRIENDS PROGRAM
Head Start would like to invite grandparents to come in for about an hour to play with, read to, do art, etc. with the kids.  This is a start-up program that they would like to begin mid or late October.   It would happen from 9:30 to 10:30 on Mondays.  If you are interested, please connect Lois in the office.  Office@Farmingtonlutheran.com
