Listening 101 (the lost art of listening to one another)
Brewed Theology is back in two weeks! We’ll once again be meeting at Longbranch in downtown Farmington. Given 1) the growth of Farmington Lutheran and this community, 2) the transitions in pastors, and 3) the upcoming election's climate and noise, we're going to be tackling Listening 101 (the lost art of listening to one another!) Bonus: Interim Pastor Dana plans to attend, come out to say hi and introduce yourself. Be sure to arrive early for dinner and/or drinks, conversation starts at 7:00pm.

YOUTH MINISTRY UPDATE FROM CHURCH COUNCIL
Unfortunately, we have been unsuccessful in finding a qualified candidate for our Youth Ministry Coordinator position, and we have decided to use the next several months and the opportunity that the upcoming pastoral changes afford us to reconsider (and reimagine) what our staffing model could look like going forward in order to care for this important ministry. Rest assured, that we remain committed to our youth and to providing a great experience for our pre-con, confirmation and senior high youth.
Pastor Ben will lead our youth ministry programs again this upcoming program year. He will be supported by our new Interim Pastor, Pastor Dana, and several fantastic volunteers who have stepped up to help out as confirmation small group leaders and in organizing FLY (Farmington Lutheran Youth) special events. Thank you so much to the Youth Ministry Team and all the parent volunteers (as well as to Dawn, who continues to provide support for these programs in addition to leading our Children's Ministry programs); we are so grateful!
If you have a passion for working with our youth and would be interested in volunteering your time and talents, please let the Church Office know and we'll get you connected to the Youth Ministry Team to determine how to best get you plugged into programming and/or special events. We would love to have you, and you will be making a difference in the lives of our youngest members! We also ask for prayers for guidance and discernment as we all prepare for the upcoming program year and also a period of change, growth and opportunity at FLC.
