ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE
FEBRUARY 14 at 5:30 & 7:00PM

You’re invited to Ash Wednesday Service on February 14 at 5:30 and 7:00pm. There will be no other programming that evening. The 5:30 service will be available via Livestream. Reminder that there will be no FLCTime, PreCon or Confirmation at the regularly scheduled times- instead families and small groups are encouraged to attend worship together.

SENIOR HIGH MINISTRY

Senior High Ministry is back on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm. Meet Dawn in the youth room for games and conversation and then head to Ash Wednesday worship together at 7:00pm.

PUZZLE EXCHANGE
FEBRUARY 15, 12:30-4:00pm

The puzzle exchange is back in February! Women’s Ministry had an amazing turnout at the January event with more than 40 people stopping by. Lots of new puzzles were shared so be sure to stop by this month. Reminder that this is open to the community, please share with your friends and neighbors.

Game Night at FLC
Saturday, February 17 6:00pm

Saturday night game nights continue to happen, with a variety of games for a variety of interest levels. Hosted by Michael Childe at Farmington Lutheran, Saturday night game nights offer a chill chance to connect and play together at FLC.
Also mark FEBRUARY 18th on your calendars: we’re playing Bunco together in the afternoon at FLC!

Grandparent Milestone
Sunday, February 25 at 9:40am

This one’s just for grandparents! If you are a grandparent, you’re invited to a milestone of community and conversation. A forum-workshop will be at 9:40am in the Library/Fireside room. (Bring a picture of your grandparents, if you have one.) Grandparents will also be recognized in worship at each of the 8:30 or 10:30am services, so attend either! Thank you for passing on the faith in your vocation as a grandparent.

Community Communion WorKshop
March 17 at 11:30am

Are you- or is someone you know- interested in beginning to receive Holy Communion? Make plans to attend the Community Communion Workshop on Sunday, March 17th, at 11:30 am at Farmington Lutheran. We'll have lunch together, learn more about the history and meaning behind the practice of communion and get ready to receive it for the first time. All ages are welcome! If you have questions about whether you are or someone you know is ready for communion, please ask any of the pastors. To ensure we have enough food and supplies, please register in advance. You can find that sign up HERE.

SUMMER REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN!

VBS, KIC ROCKS! and Camp Wapo registrations are all open! Spaces are limited so be sure to get your spot reserved today. We’re also in need of volunteers to make all our camps a success. This year we have a separate sign up for volunteers, and flexible days are an option. Questions? Contact Dawn@farmingtonlutheran.com

NEW BANNERS AT FLC

The banners that decorate our gathering space bear some colors and symbols of the liturgical calendar: Green, for “ordinary time,” and Jesus’ call and teachings. The fish reminds us of Jesus’ call to discipleship. Blue, for Advent. The star reminds us of the nativity, and the magi seeking the newborn Christ child.
Purple, for Lent. The cross ends Jesus’ Lenten journey, but is where God opens the way to eternal life.
Red, for Pentecost, and Reformation. The dove symbolizes the Holy Spirit, who is always reforming and renewing her church.
Banners were provided by Lois Luecke, in memory of her brother, Dr. James (Jim) C. Schwanebeck, and Farmington Lutheran Memorial funds.

Office Hours

We are so excited that Farmington Lutheran’s ministry programs are continuing to grow and evolve, and with that staff are spending more evenings and weekends in the building. In response to the shift in staff hours, FLC’s office hours will be adjusting slightly to 9:00am - 3:00pm (Wednesdays 12:00pm - 7:00pm during the program year). Please make note of this to ensure that you stop by when the office is open. Staff will continue to be available by appointment as well; feel free to reach out to them by phone or email.
