ALL SAINTS SUNDAY
Sunday, November 5, 2023

During communion on All Saints Weekend, worshippers will be welcome to light a candle in remembrance of the saints in their life. New this year, we are also encouraging people to bring in pictures of saints in their lives who now rest in Jesus’ arms. We’ll place the pictures on tables in the sanctuary, as a reminder that in Christ we remain connected to all the saints: past, present, and future.  You may bring pictures into the church building anytime on or after October 22, and place them on the tables in the Sunshine Room.

Understanding Grief
Sunday, October 22 11:30am

Please join Pastor Kristen and Allison Oja, Director of Community Support and Education at Minnesota Hospice, for some conversation about grief on Sunday, October 22, at 11:30 in the library at Farmington Lutheran. We’ll talk about what grief is, why it happens, what it can look and feel like, and how we can cope. If you have questions or are planning to attend, please let Pastor Kristen know (kristen@farmingtonlutheran.com)

BREWED THEOLOGY
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24 7:00pm

Brewed Theology is just a week away- and this month's conversation is centered around grief. Grief is hard, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be talked about. Join Pastor Kristen at 7:00pm for crafted conversations, head over early if you plan to order food. Sign up HERE.

October's Theme: "(Good) Grief" A conversation on grief, not as something to be avoided at all costs, but as a holy, helpful part of our reality.

NIGHT OF SHARING
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25 5:30- 8:00PM

You’re invited to Night of Sharing, next Wednesday evening. 9th grade confirmation students will be sharing their faith projects and faith statements. Beginning at 5:30pm will be an open house style “gallery” to share projects, and then at about 6:30 we’ll move into the sanctuary to hear faith statements.
Confirmation students in grades 6 - 8 are expected to attend Night of Sharing in place of their regular PreCon/Confirmation program times.

TRUNK OR TREAT
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27 5:30-7:00pm

All are invited to Farmington Lutheran for a Trunk or Treat event in the parking lot! FLC is collecting candy donations to be handed out during the event. Donations can be dropped off in the office any time, please label them “trunk or treat”.
