Reminder that there is no programming happening in the building on Wednesdsay, October 4. Instead we invite you to meet FLC at the homecoming parade! The parade starts at 6:00, we’ll meet at the library about 5:45. See you there!

GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8 at 11:30am

The next round of the Grief Support Group will begin meeting on Sunday, October 8, after the second worship service (around 11:30.) We’ll plan to meet for six consecutive Sundays, all at 11:30, for about an hour each time. You are welcome to participate whether you can make all six sessions or not, and whether you’ve been a part of a Grief Support Group before or not. COMMUNITY COMMUNION WORKSHOP
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8 at 11:30am

Wondering about when your child should take communion? At FLC, All are Welcome to the Table. If your child (or you) wants to take part in communion at FLC, we encourage you to sign up for the Community Communion Workshop. Our first workshop will take place on Sunday, October 8 at 11:30am. We will meet for roughly one hour. An adult should plan to attend with any youth attending the workshop. We will then have those that attended the workshop take their first communion on Sunday, October 15 at either worship service.

***We have another option for this workshop planned for March 17 at 11:30am. The opportunity to take first communion with that option is on Maundy Thursday (March 28, 2024).

BOWLING FUNDRAISER FOR FLC YOUTH
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13

Enjoy 1 Hour of Bowling and shoe rental and give back to a great cause. This fundraiser will help offset the cost of the youth's summer trips. And since it’s Friday, the 13th - wear your costume!

Everyone is invited to bowl. The cost is $12 per bowler. Reserve your lane on the Farmington Lanes website using the link HERE.

Understanding Grief
Sunday, October 22, 11:30

Please join Pastor Kristen and Allison Oja, Director of Community Support and Education at Minnesota Hospice, for some conversation about grief on Sunday, October 22, at 11:30 in the library at Farmington Lutheran. We’ll talk about what grief is, why it happens, what it can look and feel like, and how we can cope. TRUNK OR TREAT
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27 5:30-7:00pm

All are invited to Farmington Lutheran for a Trunk or Treat event in the parking lot! FLC is collecting candy donations to be handed out during the event. Donations can be dropped off in the office any time, please label them “trunk or treat”.
