VBS & KIC ROCKS!

We’ve had an awesome first couple days of VBS and KiC ROCKS! Over 130 kids and 60 volunteers are “Shining Jesus’ Light” this week!

 

AKIN ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Akin Road’s construction project has begun. Farmington Lutheran Church will continue to be accessible, although it may be messy at times. Please be patient with the construction crews as they work to improve the road and nearby paths. The project is anticipated to be completed in mid-August.

 

FOOD ON THE FOURTH IS THIS SUNDAY!

Food on the Fourth is this Sunday, July 23. The following items have been requested from the Food Shelf for the month of July:
Deodorant. Body wash, Shampoo, Conditioner, Kid’s toothbrushes and toothpaste, Dental floss, Tampons, Shaving cream, Disposable razors, Packages of combs, Liquid hand soap, Small to medium size Gift bags for birthday bags for kids

 

S’MORE SUMMER FUN
July 30, after 10:00am worship

After worship on Sunday, July 30 stick around for a bags tournament, outdoor fun, and grill out lunch! Donations collected will go toward FLC’s youth program.

 

OPEN YOUR HEART TO THE HUNGRY AND HOMES SUMMER CHALLENGE

July is Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless Summer Challenge. Monetary donations made this month will qualify Farmington Food shelf for additional grant money through 360 Communities. Visit farmingtonlutheran.com to donate, or contact the food shelf.

Families and individuals served by the Farmington Food Shelf went up in June. They served 137 households, which included 452 individuals. YTD they have served 661 households, which includes 2,325 individuals. 68,003 pounds of food was given to these families and 1,794 volunteer hours donated.  Farmington Food Shelf is thankful for the congregation of FLC for their continued support!

 

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is building in Farmington and looking for volunteers! Volunteers are needed August 14 - 18 to assist with the build as well as to provide meals for the volunteers. Interested in learning more? CLICK HERE
