OUR STORY, OUR FUTURE: AN FLC CELEBRATiON OF FAITH & HOPE
Saturday, Feb 22nd · 9:30am - 11:30am
Join your church family for a guided, interactive discussion focused on FLC’s past and present, along with our hopes for the future of our community, hosted by our Transition Team. This gathering will be an opportunity to celebrate where we’ve been, dream about where we’re going, and will help inform our ongoing transition and call processes in valuable ways. We’ll share a pancake breakfast to kick off our time together, hosted by our FLC Youth Team with a free-will offering to support summer 2025 youth camps & trips. Kids welcome - we’ll have older youth ready to hang out with them in the education wing during the gathering.

REMEMBER YOU ARE LOVED SWEATSHIRTS
After some requests, we're working on making these sweatshirts available. If you'd like one ($20 for youth, $25 adults), please fill out the form below! If we get enough interest, we'll make an order. (Pay later.)

What are your favorite things about Farmington Lutheran?
I love everything about FLC, but my favorite things include the worship experience, the fantastic pastors and staff, and how comfortable I feel here. We joined many years ago for the robust children's/youth ministry program and it quickly felt like our perfect church home.

Tell us about your family/your dear ones.
My husband, Jeff, and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this past October, and our son, Dominic, is a junior as NDSU in Fargo. We also have a fur-baby, Trudy, our 4-year-old Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.

What is your dream vacation?
I love to travel and do it as often as my vacation time off and budget allow! While I've been lucky enough to travel to all seven continents, I've never been to France, and it is definitely on my bucket list.

Describe your hobbies or how you like to spend free time.
I am an avid reader and also enjoy walking/hiking, pickleball, and puzzles.

What is/was your profession?
I work in the banking industry, leading operations teams. I enjoy leading and developing people and the problem-solving that comes with managing operations.

What is your favorite holiday? Why?
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because I love the three Fs -- family time, food and football. I also really enjoy dedicating some time to focus on all my blessings and the things I am grateful for.

Endowment Committee Member Update from your Congregation Council
At our annual meeting on January 26, there was a misprint on the ballot regarding the candidates up for election to the Endowment Committee. The ballot listed Nancy Gustafson and Kris Dohrmann as candidates for 3-year terms. However, Nancy and Kris are already serving on the Endowment Committee and are in the middle of their terms. The ballot should have listed Sara Rausch and Dave Baumbach as candidates for a second 3-year term. Sara and Dave were accurately listed in the presentation slides shared during the meeting. We apologize for this misprint and thank Sara and Dave for their continued service on the Endowment Committee.

While we wanted to ensure transparency around this ballot misprint, the council fully supports the election of Sara and Dave and does not feel that any further action or a special meeting is needed in order for the Endowment Committee to move forward with their work.

Our constitution does provide the following procedure for calling a special meeting:
C10.02.   A special Congregation Meeting may be called by the senior pastor, the Congregation Council, or the president1 of this congregation, and shall be called by the president of this congregation upon the written request of 10% of the voting members. The president of the Congregation Council shall call a special meeting upon the request of the synod bishop.  The call for each special meeting shall specify the purpose for which it is to be held and no other business shall be transacted.
1
If the pastor is the president of the congregation, the congregation may consider giving the vice president the authority to call a special meeting.

If you have questions or concerns regarding this update, you may reach out to council president Michelle Beauvais (michelle.l.beauvais@gmail.com).

TEENS IN CHRIST
Calling all 8th - 12th graders!
Hi! I'm Katie Blaha, it's been on my heart to get more youth through our doors by creating memories, learning about God and getting out into the community more with various service projects. Growing up youth group was one of my favorite memories the things we did, the friendships that were made and my faith kept me going back! My goal for this group is to make sure each one of you feel welcome while creating a safe space where you can be yourself and help you grow in your personal faith.
Tell your friends, neighbors & classmates ALL are welcome! I already have a list going of things I would like to go over with you and see what you want to do and take out of being part of this group! No pressure if you can't make it every time, life is busy! Can't wait to meet you!
