CHURCH OFFICE HOLIDAY HOURS
FLC’s office will be closed on Wednesday, December 25 and Thursday, December 26 as staff celebrates Christmas with their family and friends. FLC will have limited office hours the week of December 30, and will be closed on Wednesday, January 1. Please call ahead if you plan to stop by.

OFFERING ENVELOPES
Trying something new this year regarding envelopes.  There are two different packs available.  One pack is for the monthly givers (14 envelopes—12months plus Christmas and Easter).  The other pack is for the weekly givers (62 envelopes—same as the old boxes).  Choose the pack that fits your needs.  If you would like address labels, please let the office know.

GIRL’S NIGHT OUT—THURSDAY,  JANUARY 9—6:30PM
Women’s Ministry announces an evening of socialization and conversation, popcorn and a movie.  Our own Anna Rendell works for Day Spring, a division of Hallmark.   Recently Anna had the opportunity to be on the set when the latest Christmas Hallmark movie was being made.  So, adult women of our FLC community, come join us on January 9th at 6:30pm to hear Anna talk about her experience.  Then we’ll watch the movie and enjoy some snacks.

STEWARDSHIP UPDATE
Because God is faithful, we continue to thrive in transition, and be church in wonderful ways. We gather for worship, music, children and youth programs, and comfort & hope services. We collect and donate food, warm clothes, and toys for our community. And we’re planning to celebrate the birth of Jesus soon, on Christmas Eve (which last year gathered over 1,300 people!).

FLC Leadership has already been hard at work planning and assembling a 2025 budget for our mission, and vision together. Offering your estimates of giving helps immensely in aligning our money and ministry planning for the coming year.

As we near the end of 2024, here are two invitations for you:

  1. If you have not yet done so, we encourage you to return an estimate of your giving for 2025. Even if you regularly give to FLC without having returned an estimate of giving (thank you!), submitting a statement of intent helps plan what we can do together in 2025.

  2. Consider a year-end gift to Farmington Lutheran. Finishing 2024 in a strong financial position sets us up for further growth in 2025. If you have 2024 giving to complete, or Mind the Gap commitments to fulfill, we welcome those! Or, consider a one-time (always tax-deductible) gift. Many non-profits will make such asks at the close of the year; your church is one that is intrinsically local, Christ-centered, and feeds others on many levels.

Thank you for your partnership in ministry, and your gifts of time, talents, and money. We’re grateful for being co-workers with you for the Kingdom of Heaven, and look forward to what we will build together – with the help of the Holy Spirit – in the coming year.
