SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE
8:30AM AND 10:00AM

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!
Since the beginning of June, my social media feed has seen a big increase in the number of rainbows and rainbow-colored backgrounds being shared. Folks are celebrating Pride Month, expressing their support for the LGBTQIA+ community and their desire for a more loving and inclusive world. One of my favorite pictures I’ve seen in the last few days (given my profession) is a rainbow flag with the message, “This pastor loves you! But more importantly…God loves you and always has and always will no matter what you may have heard or been taught.” Part of our commitment to celebrating Pride Month at Farmington Lutheran comes from the heartbreaking truth that too many people, for way too long, have heard or been taught that God doesn’t love them, simply because of who they know themselves to be.

Our mission at Farmington Lutheran is to make sure that all people know God’s amazing love and that includes (of course) our LGBTQIA+ neighbors. It’s our joy and call to do our best to follow Jesus’ example of embracing all of God’s people, most especially those who have been excluded, judged or dismissed by the rest of the world. We give thanks for the creativity and complexity with which God creates each beloved person in God’s image, we celebrate that the body of Christ has more than enough room for us all, and we commit to keep working on welcoming and serving all of God’s people. Happy Pride!

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS AND PARENT LEAVE
There is a lot going on this summer, so while Farmington Lutheran office has switched to it’s summer office hours schedule, times may vary some days. Staff has plans for camps, retreats, offsite rehearsals, and most exciting- Pastor Ben and Pastor Kristen are expecting their fourth child! Pastor Ben and Pastor Kristen will be off for 6 weeks enjoying time together as a family. Pastor Ben will return mid-August, and Pastor Kristen a few weeks later.
The office is scheduled to be open Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm, but we do ask that you call ahead or email staff in advance to be sure someone is here when you stop by.
