FOOD ON THE FOURTH
SEPTEMBER 24

Food on the fourth is this Sunday, September 24. This month the food shelf has asked for the following items: Ramen, Tomato paste, Tomato sauce, Large beverages, Cereal, Baked beans, Kidney beans, Chili beans, Soups, any kind EXCEPT tomato or chicken noodle, Mac n Cheese, Spaghetti, Boxes or bags pasta noodles, Canned fruit, Birthday bags (medium size), Sugar

KIC EVENT: BRAND FARMS
September 24 at 1:00pm

Our first KiC adventure will take place at Brand Farms in Farmington on Sunday, September 24th. We will meet you at the farm at 1:00 pm and will plan to do a hayride, walk the apple orchard, and you can shop for all the fun fall treats. SIGN UP HERE

EVENING OF WORSHIP AND PRAYER
September 24 at 6:30pm

Take a breather with Evening Worship and Prayer on Sunday, September 24 at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary at Farmington Lutheran.  We’ll have a brief (around 30 minutes) worship service of Prayer Around the Cross, followed by options for prayerful activities.  Stay as little or as long as you need.

BREWED THEOLOGY

Strategies and Support for Dementia: a free lunch and learn event
Sunday, October 1, at 12:00pm

Is someone you love living with dementia? Would you like to get connected with other folks in similar circumstances? Are you interested in learning more about how to support and communicate well with someone who has dementia? Make plans to attend the free lunch and learn event on Sunday, October 1, at 12:00 in the Education Wing at Farmington Lutheran. Allison Oja, Director of Community Support and Education at Minnesota Hospice, along with FLC member Jill Hawkins, will share strategies for communication and encouragement for individuals and families impacted by dementia. Come for the soup, stay for the support!

Understanding Grief: Sunday, October 22, 11:30

Please join Pastor Kristen and Allison Oja, Director of Community Support and Education at Minnesota Hospice, for some conversation about grief on Sunday, October 22, at 11:30 in the library at Farmington Lutheran. We’ll talk about what grief is, why it happens, what it can look and feel like, and how we can cope. TRUNK OR TREAT
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27 5:30-7:00pm

All are invited to Farmington Lutheran for a Trunk or Treat event in the parking lot! FLC is collecting candy donations to be handed out during the event. Donations can be dropped off in the office any time, please label them “trunk or treat”.
