Camp Wapo

Camp Wapo takes place June 24-June 29, 2012

Camp Wapo is a camping opportunity for kids currently in 4th-6th grades (they'll be attending camp during the same week as Farmington Lutheran's 7th-9th grade campers). Located near Amery, WI, Camp Wapo offers an exciting camp week for Farmington Lutheran Church's youth. Farmington Lutheran has been a sponsoring congrgation of this camp since 1984, and we are excited to strengthen this partnership with them!

During a week at Wapo, campers will experience small group Bible study, large group worship, cabin activities, field games, campfires, swimming, arts and crafts, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, and tons of fun! Want to learn more? Visit Wapo's website - for more information. A week at camp is a great way to grow in faith and in relationships with other young Christians!

Pick up an information booklet & registration form from the Children's Ministry bulletin board at the church. We hope your child will join us for a fun-filled, faith-building week at Bible camp!

Cost: $390 ($100 non-refundable deposit due with registration)

Registration booklets can be picked up at FLC. Register by Sunday, March 11 to receive $50 off your camp cost!

Camperships: During Lent, campers have the opportunity to earn money toward their camp cost by working at our Lenten soup services. Parent/child teams will help with set-up, serving, and clean-up on Wednesday during Lent (February 29 - March 28). Amount earned towards camp will depend on donations received, but past years' camperships have been approximately $50/camper.

In no way should the cost of camp hinder a child from participating. If you have a child who would like to be a part of Camp Wapo and is in need of a scholarship, please contact Maria, Director of Children's Ministries. All requests are confidential.
