Celebrating 33 years of seeking justice, BREAD FOR THE WORLD is a Christian voice for ending hunger. Now numbering more than 56,000 people of faith, including 2500 churches, BFW members help hungry people by lobbying our nation’s decision-makers on legislation that addresses hunger in our communities and around the world.
If you believe that Christian discipleship calls you to address the root causes of poverty and hunger, PLEASE JOIN THE FARMINGTON LUTHERAN BWF CHAPTER. We meet to become informed on poverty and hunger issues, to write letters to our Congress people and to support each other in our beliefs. We know that a single decision by Congress or the president can far outweigh any contributions made by individuals, congregations or organizations.
We sponsor a BREAD FOR THE WORLD OFFERING OF LETTERS SUNDAY when we provide our congregation the opportunity and the helps they need to write letters to our Senators and Representatives. This year we’ll be joining our voices with people from all over the country urging reform in the 2007 Farm Bill.
